Bellevue Multi Family Re-Clad

This 15 unit apartment complex comprised of 3 separate buildings had it’s entire envelope removed and replaced including siding, windows, sliding glass doors and wood entry doors.  The building had been subject to water intrusion issues throughout its life due to original construction defects.  We worked closely with the GC on identifying and repairing rotten framing members, areas in need of mold remediation etc.  This project used a mixture of hardi plank and hardi panel siding with whitewood and cedar trim elements.  The weather resistant barrier and penetration flashings used were a Dupont, “Tyvek” system.  This project was performed in conjunction with a waterproofing consultant and subjected to water intrusion testing which passed in each instance.
