Seattle Multi Family Re-clad Project

Condominium Reside project:

Synapse is removing the existing stucco, wood siding, wrb, windows and sliding glass doors throughout this 28 unit multi family building.  The siding is being replaced with hardi plank siding of various exposures.  We are using Vaproshield “wrapshield” as our wrb and also using the pvc sill pans, preformed corners and spacers for the penetration flashings.  The existing aluminum single pane windows (circa 1973) are being replace with Milgard “Montecino” windos and sliding glass doors.  This building suffered from years of water intrusion issues as some of the construction defects included:  No head flashings at the windows and other penetrations,  wood siding installed in ways it was not intended to be used and sub standard maintenance throughout its life.  When this project is complete this building will have gained many years in its useful life with a diminished maintenance burden for the owners.
