Seattle siding – fiber cement panel siding

Seattle siding contractorsWe have recently completed a Seattle siding and window installation project using James Hardie “Color-plus” panels for a customer on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle.  I am happy to report that the siding panels came to us in good condition and were for the most part free of defects.  The siding was installed in a traditional manner or without a rain-screen.  The owner was having trouble with his window order but needed to get his building dried in so we wrapped the building with James Hardie building wrap and waited for the windows.  Once the windows were delivered to the site we flashed the window openings using Fortifiber products and installed the windows.  We then installed a layer of 60 minute paper over the entire building integrating it with our window flashings and began installing siding.  We used fiber-cement siding panels cut to 2 foot modules and flashed the vertical and horizontal joints with 24 ga pre-finished custom brake shape sheet metal flashings.   The owner was very pleased with the final look of the new Seattle siding for his rental property.
