Silbonit Fiber Cement Panels and Clear Cedar Planks Custom Home Siding

Synapse Construction provided custom siding on this beautiful home. Designed by Board & Vellum Architecture and Design, and perched on a bluff above Golden Gardens in North Beach Seattle, this house has stunning views of the Puget sound. With half of the house built on piles above a 200ft very steep slope the vertical access logistics were challenging to say the least. The siding consists of Silbonit fiber cement panels installed over rain-screen battens with open joints. The clear cedar planks were also installed over rain-screen battens with open joints. We prefinished all of the wood with Sikkens 1-2-3. For this home we ordered specified lengths in the clear cedar as the owner did not want any butt joints.
